Buffet and Lampert See No Signs of Life
In the last few days, CNBC has reported comments from retail kingpins Warren Buffet and Eddie Lampert to the effect that neither billionaire sees any signs of life in the retail sector of the US economy.
The comments came during publicity over the annual meetings for shareholders of the companies operated by the two tycoons. Lampert operates Sears and K-Mart and is holding his annual meeting today. Buffet operates a wide range of retail stores and held his giant Berkshire-Hathaway annual meeting over the weekend.
