That was an amazing quote, but we shouldn’t be surprised. Slaving is incredibly profitable, and the rationalizations come easy. But whoever that executive is, he has a remarkably brazen attitude. At least Kathie Lee Gifford tried to make amends when she was busted in 1996.

can’t stand these convenient excuses of “it costs more if we do it without slavery and poeple don’t care as much about slavery as they do about getting our product,” completely ignoring that it only costs more because of government policy that could be changed tomorrow.

i also don’t buy that people don’t care about slavery; but why should the consumer be admonished for policies it has absolutely no control over creating in the first place? people like to take a way too simplistic view of capitalism that ignores so many other things that make it not capitalism.

Well, Elizabeth Warren was just going through her agenda. I doubt she was prepared to speak on China. The panic was bubbling inside of Stewart, and he just barfed it up on her, pretty much out of context.

Where are the leaders? You might as well ask: where are the leaders of the Cherokee Nation? The war was lost long ago. The multinationals manage the USA to their liking, and there is no sign of that changing any time soon. And their media outlets have everybody brainwashed so that nobody even knows it’s happening.

I removed the extensive quote that you copied to respect Dave’s content. I’m not a currency trader, but I see what he is saying. Traders who think China will really float the yuan deserve to lose that bet. China’s entire system depends upon an artificially low currency. Thanks for the link.

Matt, Thank you for your posts. They’ve really opened my eyes! Regarding Mr. Stewart I’m glad that at least he gets it, because his guest Elizabeth Warren is absolutely CLUELESS based on her response to Jon’s statements about China! Her solution, if it can be called that, is to pour more tax dollars into education? Amazing! Where are the leaders who understand whats happening and are willing to stand for the truth?

It certainly doesn’t look like it anything is being done to fight it. There definitely won’t be any SOPA-type of protest since tech companies support increased immigration.

Is anything even being done to stop this bill? I know that Senator Chuck Grassley has placed a hold, but even that’s easily overcome with a cloture.

It seems to me this bill gives an unlimited immigrant visas to Indians and Chinese. Supposedly it’s all those Indian tech companies that are sponsoring it.

This list is ordered by Alexa rank. The problem with Yahoo Finance is that it is a sub-domain of Yahoo.com, which means it has the same Alexa rating (#4).

I thought the same was true with MarketWatch; that it was a sub-domain of WSJ.com. But now that it look at it again, I see that it has a separate Alexa rank, so I will add it to the list.

I may put Covestor and Collective2 into a new “investing software” category.

Collective2
Marketwatch
and the big daddy of them all, Yahoo Finance, the #1 finance site with about 6x as many unique visitors as bloomberg:
