More India Propaganda

And now, the nice lady from the Council on Foreign Relations, Erin Burnett, will explain to you why you should cheerfully hand over your job to an Indian immigrant. She will speak slowly and not use any big words so that un-educated, un-talented, lazy, stupid Americans can understand why Indian workers are so much better:

Premji says that we need to educate more engineers, and that that is the root cause of the “problem”. But that is a lie, of course. Corporate America openly shuns American workers because they can hire Indians for a fraction of the cost. And that discourages students from pursuing engineering degrees. The root problem is immigration.

Premji says that the number of visa’s being issued to India is “only” 15,000 per year. However, thanks to the Great Offshoring, we no longer have an expanding job market. Our economy stopped generating new jobs 10 years ago. So, if anything, we should be expelling 15,000 Indians per year.

Note to wretched refuse: We are full-up. Maybe one day, many years in the future, our economy will be able to create jobs for you again. But until that time, you will just have to stay there on your “teeming shores” and do the best that you can. The party is over.

Note to self: Drink a campaign toast when President Obama signs this long-overdue scab-tax into law.

Interesting Note: Watch how Burnett spoon-feeds the talking-points to Premji. Why is Permji so clueless? Because his talking-points are written by a PR flack at CNBC’s parent, General Electric. All that Permji knows is that he has been brought in to run a sweatshop, which is, after all, India’s core competency.

All of this is coming to a head it seems. Some things can’t be farmed out, thankfully.

On the home front, Apple has a new data center in N.C.

Also Microsoft is building a facility in VA:

    George,

Yes, it seems that data centers are one of the few things that Corporate America is not willing to export as they are the heart of modern business. It might even be illegal to do so. Imagine if your bank’s data center were located in India or China.

So, data centers are one bright spot for the US economy, though if you looked inside of them, you might find a good number of Indian immigrants on the staff.

Good point Matt. Also, those are most likely more specialized positions, not blue collar.
